Educational Background
I graduated from DeSales University with a Bachelors in Psychology in the Fall of 2021, and went on to earn my Master's in School Counseling from Gwynedd Mercy University in Spring of 2024. During my graduate work I interned at the elementary, middle, and high school level, giving me valuable, hands-on experience across all grade levels K-12.
Who am I?
My name is Ariana Leibenguth, but all my students call me Miss L. I am a first-year school counselor at Bears Academy, and I am so excited to be able to support our amazing students this year. Whether you're dealing with a challenge, chasing a goal, or just need someone to talk to, I am here to support you. Never hesitate to reach out! Let's work together to help you thrive, and become the best version of yourself.
How can I help you?
Whether you're learning in person or online, I'm here for you. As a cyber student, you can easily schedule a meeting with me through my Google Booking Calendar, or just send me an email whenever you need support. I'm here to help with things like managing stress, staying organized, setting goals, planning for your future, and providing short-term, solution-focused counseling. Even though you're learning from home, you're never alone — we can still connect, talk things through, and work together to find solutions in an online setting.
Fun Facts About Me
Outside of school, I am a proud fantasy nerd with a big imagination and a love for epic stores. My favorite books (turned movie adaptations) are the Lord of the Rings series and Harry Potter. I love nothing more than getting lost in magical words filled with adventure, friendship, and courage. I also have a deep love for history and mythology, especially Greek mythology. There's something timeless and powerful about stories from ancient cultures that continue to inspire art, writing, and even video games today.
Speaking of which - I am a huge video game fan. Some of my all-time favorites are:
-
Baldur's Gate 3 (A turn-based Dungeons & Dragons RPG that I sunk about 1000+ hours into.)
-
Skyrim (A classic)
-
Dragon Age Series (My first love)
-
Assassin's Creed (Particularly Odyssey, the one set in Ancient Greece!)
-
The Mass Effect Trilogy (Probably one of the greatest RPGs ever made).
I love games that let you explore new worlds, make choices, and shape your own story - kind of just like life!
And of course, I love music. I play a little guitar and ukulele, and I love to sing. My favorite genre of music is undoubtedly classic rock -- bands like CCR, Fleetwood Mac, and John Denver can always be found on my Spotify. Music is such a powerful outlet, and it's one of the ways I like to relax and recharge.
